An abyss where truth was lost
Militarized weapons of mass destruction in Ferguson
Combat police on paved streets our ancestors went through similar scenarios
Except they faced fire, hoses, and dogs and men in white sheets
The world has a hole in it
Man choked by the serve and protect folk
The cowards who prey on the weak
All while the sleep in neighborhoods far from which they terrorize
Broken glass shatters fatherless children
The world has a hole in it
Women getting beat by men who play childish games and make millions
The playing field will be equal when little girls sign billion dollar contracts for hopscotch tournaments
The world has a hole in it
Young men and women in jail for
Smoking an herb grown in the ground
When will this world be whole again?
And when can we sleep sound?
